This is one of those songs, and albums, that I am going to get in trouble from my neighbor for playing too loud at 2am. Oh well, yolo.
L.A.-based producer and vocalist ZHU has just released a beautifully crafted six-track EP called Nightlife. Covering elements of house to hip-hop to soul to garage and disco, ZHU is really taking us to the future with his new EP.
"Stay Closer" just so happened to be the first track on the EP that I listened to, and is the lucky winner for this post. It's a robust track full of propulsive bounce, savory soul, and slinky vocals. I'm pretty sure my neighbors are already grooving to this one, or is that the end of the broom handle hitting the floor?
Now, the remainder of the EP is equally as juicy, so be sure to slide over to ZHU's SoundCloud for the full stream.
