Remember Happa., the 15-year-old British producer shaking up the U.K. house scene? I said a few weeks back that he had a knack for turning sparse beats into something more. Well, under the alias Zadeh, the artist simultaneously known as Happa. channels his inner Tycho and delivers a beautiful track that puts the ill in chillout music.
Dreamy, sublime, and mesmerizing are some of the compliments "Unknown" is receiving on SoundCloud. It's worth noting that Happa. provided the guitar work heard throughout. As if his penchant for electronic music was not impressive enough, now he's mixing in live instrumentation. Yeah, it's a raw cut and maybe a little sloppy for purists, but as a fan of ambient music this is right up there with what I've been listening to lately.
