Sydney duo Yuma X have released "You Said," the fourth and final piece of their debut EP, Home Recordings EP.
"You Said" is deliberate and intimate. Anchored by a moderate beat, the atmosphere gently builds on distant synths and percussive embellishments. Lucy's vocals are raw and real; there's a pained passion you can genuinely hear, in fitting with the lyrical theme of a relationship tainted by a partner's infatuation with someone else.
It's a remarkable release for the pair, Lucy and Jake, who have quickly drawn attention to themselves with their stripped back, emotive music.
Having already secured opening slots for big name electronic acts like RUFUS, SOPHIE and QT, Yuma X will also be supporting ODESZA on their upcoming Australian tour.
