Why do we like this?

As my road trip across three provinces comes to a slow close, I fortuitously stumble upon Yum Yuck's latest single, "Crowd Pleaser."

The lyrics contemplate the inevitable end of an endless summer, yet with a gently buoyant sound, the winding up of a journey doesn't necessarily have to end on a down.

The more I listen to "Crowd Pleaser," the more I enjoy it. The lyrics are wonderful too, so I'll leave you with a sample:

"We wanted a cure


Un-wrinkling our brains untl our minds felt pure
Headed for the shores
We can talk perception while we're kicking in the doors"
