Why do we like this?
Think Crosby, Stills & Nash's spawns putting a modern and fresh twist on mountain rock with some synth. That's where Yoya comes in with their single, "King Of Nothing."
The song is drenched in gorgeous harmonies that float above the instrumentals like wind chimes. The acoustic guitar is ever-so-present while galactic synth effects dance around and taunt. This track has its highs and lows and throughout it all, it remains intriguing and full of talent. I love hearing a mix of traditional rock influences mixed with wonky synth effects. When combined, they magically turn into a fresh sound that must be perfectly balanced.
It's easy to overdo this style of music, but Yoya nailed it with "King Of Nothing."
