Why do we like this?

Sure, it's not fantastically produced. No worry to me -- in fact it almost lends to how nice this cover of John Denver's "Goodbye Again" is to listen to!

Employing piano and a little bit of guitar to accompany Trevor Powers' vocals, Youth Lagoon soars across the 1972 classic off Rocky Mountain High. You may recall we've covered the artist in the past (hear his song "Afternoon"), noting in particular that most of his work to date was recorded in his bedroom. Perhaps this track, laid down for a Sirius XM show, was pulled together in exactly the same manner?
