Why do we like this?

Premiered via Pigeons and Planes, Young wonder's new single "Intergalactic" managed to catch my attention immediately.

Truth be told, I've flip-flopped on this band: at times the quality of their tracks leaves me wanting more. Then there are those other times when they leave my jaw on the floor (eg, "Time").

This single manages to fall closer toward the positive side, its dark and brooding instrumentation perfectly highlighting the lead singler's haunting voice. My guess is Ireland's winter has had a hand influencing the band's sound...
