Why do we like this?

Remember Keisza and her big pop hit last year? And the even bigger YouTube video that went with it? 

Well, the same label that put the spotlight on Kiesza in a major way seems to have a thing for unearthing New York-based talent. Next on their radar is an alternative rock band from the gritty Manhattan neighborhood of Washington Heights called Tribe Society.

This is an experimental and bold way to intro yourself to the world. Tribe Society have taken that popular rap-trap track from Young Thug and completely re-imagined it. In their own words..

"With the world wrapped up in trap fetish, we wanted to redress our favorite stoner anthem in a rock outfit."

So what do we think about this as potentially rap-trap-rock, all infused into one? I say experimental is good and pushing the music envelope is even better. The wait is on to see what else this young band care to experiment with next.
