Around this time last year, I introduced Young Hunting's "
Maze" as an example of my summertime playlists. This time around, they are giving us a more mellowed-out track that brings forward more in-depth emotions and faded psychedelia.
Their lush, dream pop aesthetic combined with lyrical embodiment of failed affairs creates a decadent melancholy that I tend to gravitate towards during my workweek seclusions. If you're looking for something to mellow out to (or possibly even let out some silent tears to), "Baby's First Steps" will set the perfect mood.
This L.A. five-piece is set to release their debut LP,
Hazel, via Gold Robot this summer.
