While going through my lists and looking for new music, I stumbled upon this song by Yot Club. The song "Japan" offers something I tend to look forward to when summer begins. The surf rock and dream pop vibes here go very well with the lyrics. It's not something that just ebbs and flows from start to finish, it feels laid back yet has a purpose and a point that the artist is trying to get across.
The main melody is simple yet has a hook that is very catchy. It stays in your head and pushes the song forward. The fuzzy, dreamy vocals bring more feeling and emotion to this track. The synth has its own place which makes the sound more dynamic.
This is part of an EP called Bleach Beach. The rest of the EP has a lot to offer and I highly recommend sitting down and really digesting it. It's haunting and warm sounding. It's very special when one comes across something that can put you through such a range of emotions and points to the talent of the artist.
