Yoke Lore just released "Cut and Run," an alternative pop single that strings together vocal harmonies better than any other release I've heard this year.
The accompanying video creates an audio-visual experience of passing time and impermanence. The time-lapsed movement is jerky, ambivalent, and vibrant -- not unlike life. The track is imbued with a gorgeous hue of anxiety. It takes its time to unfold, but for every moment of joy there's an equally hefty moment of distress.
