Why do we like this?
Indie rockers Yellow Ostrich have been on my radar ever since I heard the single "Marathon Runner." The New York-based four piece is comprised of Alex Schaaf (singer/guitarist), Michael Tapper (drummer), Zach Rose (bassist), and Jared Van Fleet (keyboardist/guitarist).

New track "Shades" borders on the psychedelic. It starts with experimental guitar riffs followed by keyboard furnishing. This is an awesome preview of their new album, Cosmos, due out February 25 via Barsuk Records. Catch them on tour next year -- dates here.
