Yehra's "On & On" is said to be an intimate expression of longing. Looking into the Germanic origin of the word, longing stems from 'to reach' or 'extend.'
As the artist's inner longing reaches out, it touches the listener, igniting an inner longing like a warm forest fire. Amazing it is, to be human, and to be made to feel things based on what others feel. Music, art, experience, it's really all quite uniquely 'human' and at the same time, comes with its painful difficulties...but on & on we carry on.
Vocals in which you can hear the air move like gorgeous mist on the high notes and feel the rasp on the lower notes is part of the reason I'm hooked on Yehra. The instrumentals are humble, not to be mistaken for meek or mild — they pack a punch and elevate the track without the need to shout about it.
We first featured Yehra's "Daydreaming" and "On & On" marks the close of their 5-track Magnetic EP.
