Why do we like this?
What DJ Icey has essentially done here is remix A-Trak's remix of "Heads Will Roll" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. So we technically have a double remix on our hands (re-remix?), but let's just call that "vs."
DJ Icey has been on the Miami scene for almost two decades now, defining breaks and club scenes with a vast repertoire of remixes and originals. Rolling Stone stone backs that assessment up, calling him "one of the original Florida DJs responsible for kick-starting the American progressive house and trance scene".[4]
And bam! Here he still is after all these years, pulling together awesome re-remixes like this one. I have a feeling this should help generate some good buzz ahead of his new album Flash The Message, due to be released this month.
