Why do we like this?

FOALS frontman Yannis Philippakis merges with drummer Tony Allen to create a loud, progressive sonic experience.

"Walk Through Fire" is a flaming track (yes, I will be making a pun); it's a bonfire from a distance, only to discover it's a barn on fire. It's a ritual, a painstaking endeavor that is motivational in the grungiest way. The drumline keeps going, and all we can do is watch it burn up. "Walk Through Fire" drives until there is no more oxygen left to burn, and only then, at the very end, does it let you go - burn marks and all.

Yannis & The Yaw have delivered a spectacle.
