Why do we like this?
I don't know what they're teaching kids at Australian schools, but here is yet another young Aussie by the name of Max Armata, or Yahtzel, to be making noise within the electronic music scene.
Listening to "High With Me" makes me feel like I'm embarking on a musical journey. The track features soothing piano melodies, high pitched vocals, synthy instruments, and beats that drop unexpectedly. There's a massive build-up in the first two minutes as it reaches its peak, where the sound then glides along and reduces back to the piano melody.
There's some amazing music coming from down under and it's exciting to see its impact at a global level. I'm feeling a Flume influence on this one, and if he's any example to go by, then Yahtzel will have some exciting things ahead of him.
