Why do we like this?
I didn't think it was possible to make the Velvet Underground sound even more badass than they normally do. But Yacht's cover of the 1966 Nico-led classic is pure magic - synthy blips and and thrumming back beat add a cool modernity to the smokey, sexy track (following their cover of Bridgette Fontaine's 1969 song "Le Goudron").
This version remains largely close to the original, with a more upbeat tempo and a layered sonic feel. So, now when you dress up like Nico and dance around your room, you have a tune to go with your moves. I mean... who does that? I don't. Ahem.
