Space Horror Boogie
"mRNA" is a haunting electro track that takes me all the way to space, hits me with a few asteroids, and drops me back into orbit.
I like ethereal sounds in songs, specifically in a techno song. It's such a beautiful juxtaposition when something built purely out of electric sounds makes a noise that can only be described as ancient or haunting. I know I like to talk about and reference space a lot, but never has a song come along that makes me feel beautifully scared of space — like I'm in the spaceship that's got something hidden in the pipes (but I have a ray gun.)
This song is niche, sure, but niche in the best way and a great palette refresher for the tired electro ear.
