Why do we like this?

XXYYXX (Marcel Everett) is a one man show, and that one man is not yet a full grown one. On the edge of 17 years old, this Floridian's approach to electronic music is subdued and ghostly, with undertones reminiscent of Washed Out and The Weeknd. In his own words, his musical style is best described as "experimental bass," and we totally agree.

When it comes to inspiration, Everett finds himself looking to old school R&B and minimalism found within the 80s new wave era. "Life on Repeat" (off of his 2011 album titled Still Sound) reflects exactly that and provokes an unavoidable emotional response upon listening.
