Wy You + I

Wy may not be on the indie crowd's radar here in the states at the moment, but the Swedish duo certainly should be. They dropped an album last month called Okay, which as a title is fine, but is not one bit fitting as a description of the band's product.

"You + I," is one of album's singles and it is one of my favorites. Ebba's voice is haunting, aided immensely by the shoegaze atmosphere, created by the layers of blended sounds. They call their genre hyper-desperate and the lyrics are fitting to that self-given label. 

Wy could be big, Okay is a fantastic album and "You + I" is perfect place to begin a journey with someone new. Check out their label mates on Hybris while you're out there...
