It's rare for an artist to ooze genuine passion for R&B and pop in one song, but emerging UK act Wolfie seems to do just that.
She has gained fans from both worlds, having both the vocal prowess to match the pop ballads that Ariana Grande and co. are skilled at while keeping a more specialist production ("urban," giving it the most generic label).
Despite that this style doesn't reinvent the wheel, what I'm looking for in songs are unique takes -- a vocal style that isn't just a copy of a copy. And, of course, a genuine spark that you get on first listen.
Edgy yet with the potential to fly given the right platform, this is the right time to get familiar with Wolfie.
