"Palindroma" is the dramatic and rhythmic second single from electronic four-piece Winterplan.
Hailing from Melbourne, the band was conceived when friends Dave Tran and Julia Boyle bonded during a winter in Sweden. Arriving home, the duo enlisted Clara Tran and New Zealander Pip MacKay, birthing Winterplan.
Although they've spent the last three years working on their debut album, after hearing "Palindroma," you'll agree it's worth the wait.
Merging elements of electronica, pop, and indie dance, "Palindroma" is a stylish discovery of pulsating production, dark tinged melodies and foreboding vocals. You can hear the eeriness of Austra and the new wave nostalgia of Ladytron in their sound, along with a touch of the current Nordic scene -- but none of these influences overwhelm Winterplan's unique identity.
"Palindroma" is one of those songs you'll have on repeat, I guarantee it. Winterplan's debut album, Fight/Flight, will be released later this year.
