Windmills is another one-man band in a genre that seems to be taking over my playlists these days. His music, which takes cues from FYFE, is very performance-oriented, as opposed to some of these other guys who seem to have 17 things going on at any given time and would be lost on stage without a laptop.
Windmills, however, constructs his beats, vocals, and guitar hooks one at a time, managing to sound both minimalist and full depending on the emotional stage of the song. This latest single is a big step up for the BC musician, who will be on tour this summer throughout our lovely province.
"Face to a Name" is a catchy, masterfully constructed pop song that is a perfect track for your summer playlist. Check out his website for more details and tour info.
Oh, and did I mention this is an Indie Shuffle premiere?
