Why do we like this?
William Bolton, who we have grown accustomed to calling Times New Roman, wants to be referred to by his real name going forward. After speaking to the up-and-coming crooner this weekend, this doesn't surprise me. He's serious about his craft, and is taking it to the next level.
The young artist from the Detroit area (a hot bed for impressive underground music, as I'm quickly finding out) continues to provide a rhythmic and soulful vibe that relies heavily on Motown-era, groovy samples.
He's a college sophomore currently balancing studies, campus life, and music endeavors. From the looks and sounds of it, we can expect a bigger, more cohesive project sometime soon. Stay tuned to this up-and-comer.
