Melodic, sweeping, and alluring, Will Eastman's "Free Fall" is a triumph.
With an LP due for release in the near future, D.C. based producer Will Eastman has given us a first look at the kind of ambience we can expect to hear. His first track, "Free Fall," is high brow dance music swapping jacking basslines and hard drops for winsome spirals into sentimental electronica. Much like the emotional dance music of his peers, like Jonas Rathsman for example, Eastman contextualizes his tracks in an otherworldly realm practically begging us to just imagine something beautiful with our eyes closed.
Saccharine, but not eager, "Free Fall" stems from a place of inner peace in a world that grows more hectic and scary with each passing day. "Free Fall" is just in time for the melancholy, and awkward beauty, of autumn. Welcome back, Mr. Eastman.
