WILDES gives us the best slow build of April with "Woman in Love" — a folk-rock slow burn that leaves you shattered and passionate.
Folk tracks and their subsequent offshoots ie. folk-rock, alt-folk, and so forth have always had a great ability to mesh ideas into a collaborative and respectful little experience. "Woman in Love" gives us a bass-heavy alt-rock aesthetic with pulsing drums and booming layering but then layers it with a slow build folk tale of passion and jealousy.
It's a dope little experience I've been thirsty for, for a while now, and WILDES satisfied every craving with this smokey folk ballad that builds to a climax of feelings, only to leave you wanting more.
