Why do we like this?
Last year, L.A. indie pop trio Wildcat! Wildcat! were hot property, and with singles like "Garden Grays" and "Please and Thank You" it wasn't too difficult to see why. Well, I'm glad to say that after almost a year, their debut album No Moon At All is due for release in August. "Hero" is the newest single taken from it.
The growth that I'm hearing in this single is phenomenal. The trio have moved their trademark indie pop sound toward this multi-layered and brooding dream pop style. That isn't to say that their pop sensibility has gone out the window -- you can still hear the signature falsetto vocals on display during the chorus.
