"Wild arms, full hearts" could be an inspirational catchphrase in and of itself. But according to an interview with
Dazed Digital, Duncan Cooper quotes Genesis P-Orridge to reveal his true musical motto: "The meaning moves all the time as we think about it more and more." And I couldn't think of a more apt description for this track.
Wildarms' "Full Hearts" introduces itself with a twinkling of night before day time chimes in. Unexpectedly, yet gorgeously, hip-hop, new wave and exotic synths layer themselves before a vocal loop comes to climax. I'm surprised upon every replay, because a new moment distracts me from the moments I noticed during the previous listen. It's as if we're getting to relive all the memories different people are having of the same experience.
As the dust settles, I'm covered in nostalgia. Luckily I can keep this track on loop and we can all look forward to more. "Full Hearts" comes off of Cooper's 5-track EP,
Clear Eyes, (did you catch that? Clear Eyes... Full Hearts...) with an expected release of February 5, 2013 via
Cascine Records. To check out Wildarms' previous creations, follow him
