Why do we like this?
Wild Nothing is a Virginia-based indie rock / dream pop band fronted by Jack Tatum, who is joined on stage by Nathan Goodman (guitar), Jeff Haley (bass), Kevin Knight (keyboards) and Jeremiah Johnson (drums).
The band are Indie Shuffle veterans, so this probably won't be the first time you hear Wild Nothing on our website. That said, one of my favorite tracks titled "Counting Days" somehow slipped under our radar, and I figured I'd do the right thing and review it.
Off Tatum's second album Nocturne, the song may have been overshadowed by critically acclaimed singles "Shadow" and "Paradise." But with polished harmonies, as well as infectious guitar riff's that playfully bounce off each other, you may find yourself falling into the same sleepless state the prior tracks instill.
Since Nocturne, Wild Nothing have released an E.P called Empty Estate. If you're interested in hearing some from it, I'd highly recommend "A Dancing Shell."
