Why do we like this?
Widowspeak is a Brooklyn band with a lead singer who could melt the coldest of hearts. Seriously, Molly Hamilton's smokey, sultry pipes are really working for me right now, particularly in her band's cover of Chris Isaak's dead-sexy 90s hit, "Wicked Games."
C'mon, you gotta love this song, and that amazing original video that goes with it (that fooled all of us into thinking that fooling around on the beach was that awesome. Not in Northern California, friend...)
I didn't think it was possible, but Widowspeak's version blows Mr. Issak out of the water. Probably because of Hamilton's sleepy approach to it, she melts into the devilish sounding guitar hook with ease.
