The only way is up for Who Killed Bruce Lee, whose eclectic and powerful sound is garnering fans and admirers at a fast pace as they work extensively on finalizing their debut studio album. The Beirut-based group were chosen to co-headline the first RedBull Soundclash edition of the Middle East, and those who managed to attend the show got to see exactly what these guys are capable of.
After the release of their debut EP, which featured the single "We Could Be Lovers," the band put out an individual release for "Room for Three," one of the tracks from their upcoming album.
I like how that song starts; I like the build-up to the chorus and that break right at the end. It's got funk, impeccable drumming, a heavy bass line, and their signature melodic synth riffs that fill in perfectly right when you're asking for it. I'm also a huge fan of singer Wassim Bou Malham's vocal melodies and tone. There's an interesting tale in his voice; it has warmth as much as it can be piercing powerful, and I think the track will give you a glimpse of that.
Give the song a listen, and check the guys out on Facebook and Twitter for any new upcoming releases. They might be playing at your local bar someday soon!
