Why do we like this?
Whispertown is back, and this time it's for a short and sweet EP by the name of Parallel. This infectiously catchy EP is bound to tickle your fancy.
Whispertown has a distinctive quirky sound that really works well for them. From their instrumental arrangement to their vocals, it's sweet, slightly melancholy and definitely catchy. This light-hearted EP is a wonderful precursor to the warmer season(s). For their Parallel EP, the songs are a nice mix between traditional indie pop and new wave. Some songs have a heavy emphasis on synth soaked dreampop while other songs focus on your basic folk pop setup. This interweaving mix makes for a nice variety, especially for an EP, so you won't lose interest quickly.
