Why do we like this?

Indie rockers Wedding Dress, consisting of members of Maps and Atlases, Joan of Arc, Gypsy Blood, and Suns, recently released a self-titled 7" on Lovitt Records.

The single, "Loom," is a haunting and elusive song that you will find yourself humming along to immediately. Nevermind the fact that the track's melodic charm will stick with you throughout your day and then some.

The sound can't simply be pinned down as this or that; it is wholly unique.

I can only hope that Wedding Dress continues to share their interesting sound, which the A.V. Club rightfully pointed out as being able to "cleverly subvert(s) genre descriptors."
