Sydney duo We Are the Brave is one of those acts that really knows how to bridge a generation or two. They announced themselves on the scene last year with their breakout single "Sparrow," and their modern twist on 80s/90s pop has returned on a brand new release.
"Your Ghost" is an accomplished piece of work. Singer/songwriter Jess Chalker's lingering vocals suit this type of music perfectly, hovering above flowing synths and a driving beat. People will no doubt find something incredibly familiar about this track, perhaps it's the 80s-influenced drums, or vocal harmonies. It's not dated though -- it's the type of music Kate Bush would be making, if she was still making hits!
