Kitsuné has a knack for putting out great compilations that feature songs from bands you already like, and more importantly, songs from bands you've never really heard of. One such track that caught my attention off Kitsuné Maison 10 (available for download here) is "Fires" by Waylayers (produced by Ewan Pearson of Delphic).

The song's sound itself is reminiscent of Coldplay or Doves, with a touch more post-punk and beautifully harmonic and flush guitar-work. The comparison to those two bands finds root, also, in the fact that Waylayers are based in the UK, and have no concerns admitting that they produce pop music. I must confess that I already find myself a huge fan based solely on this track.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is just one example of the amazing ability of Kitsuné to expose amazing, thus-far-obscure bands in their compilations.
