Why do we like this?
It's kinda refreshing that in 2012 there are bands around like Wavves who not only embody the good old punk / grunge of the 90s, but also do so with excellent production.
In this case, that's likely owing to the fact that John Hill is doing the mixing -- his prior work includes songs for Rihanna, Santigold and M.I.A. Certainly this sound is a bit of a departure from those female powerhouses, but it seems to work quite well.
Wavves of course is one-man-band Nathan Williams. "Sail To The Sun" will be on released on his next album, to be available in the first part of 2013.
