Futuristic producers Ryan Hemsworth and Wave Race have remixed each other's songs for a "super limited" collaborative 7", titled Destroyed. The first taste of this hotly awaited release is the latter's remix of the former's sophomore single, "Streamers," which has already been making waves on the blogosphere.
Hemsworth's remix of "Streamers" is a bouncy, sometimes schizophrenic affair, described by Buzzfeed in its premiere as sounding like "laughing and crying at the same time." It serves as an amicable follow-up to his recent remix of Lorde's "Buzzcut Season," channelling his distinctive production style and love for pitched vocal samples.
To celebrate the release, Wavey and Ryan Hemsworth are co-headlining a release party in Melbourne on Wednesday night, with support from up-and-coming Jersey Club producer DEER. Buy tickets here.
