We've got to give it up for moms. A good one may get on one's nerves at times but they still feel like these superhero beings who make the world spin. The main reason I bring up the ol' M-word, is because, if it weren't for the Wallners' mum, we wouldn't get to experience the likes of the hypnotic single, "in my mind."
If you haven't guessed by now, this Vienna-based band is made up of four very talented and cohesive siblings. So, shout-out to their mom!
Truth is, this song came up on my release radar and I fell in love with it. I hit the like button, played it on repeat, and left it at that. Then it showed up on SubmitHub and I was thrilled to get the chance to write about it. More exciting still was that it came with a gorgeous music video - hypnotic, moving, and perfectly suited to the track.
"in my mind" feels like a precise blend of eeriness, artistic vision, and a sense of refinement. At the same time, it's remarkably surprising — from showing up on my release radar, to the SubmitHub queue, to the accompanying music video, as well as the subtle changeups within the song, including the unique sounds that take the listener on a journey from start to finish. I think it's safe to call me in love — so big thanks to the Wellners' mamma and whatever subsequent journey they took to release this track...from a moved listener's perspective, it was all worth it!
