Haunting like a desolate theatre; delicately beautiful like an ancient chandelier; and modern like the echoing spaces of a minimalist mansion. This is what comes to mind when listening to Wallners' "Dracula."
The first time I heard the band was when I came across their single, "In My Mind." It is a track that I, to this day, listen to it on repeat and so, anything else the four-sibling quartet from Vienna produces is met with much excitement.
"Dracula" unfolds slowly, with impeccable taste, and is rich with surprise. The bridge contains an epic guitar performance that opens up this melancholic piece, taking it to the edge of something a little harder. Lyrically impeccable, the chorus speaks to the name:
"Mmm, when everybody's dreaming
In evеrybody's dreams I'm playing a part
Mmm, and everybody's scrеaming
And everybody screams, I'm hearing at last"
Recently signing to Universal Music, Wallners are clearly ones to watch.
