Sounds like:
Millionyoung,
Blackbird Blackbird
Why do we like this?
I've always been a huge fan of Teen Daze, and that includes his remixes. So you can bet your buttons that when a new one comes along, I'll be right there on top of it.
Such is the case for Wake Owl's "Wild Country," a song which was released two months ago on his debut EP (via Vagrant Records). The original has a strong alt-country feel, heavy on the stringed instruments.
Clearly if you're familiar with the original, you'll observe that Teen Daze's chillwave approach has totally flipped this track on its head. The result is that I can't say one is necessarily better than the other because these are two totally different songs. And therein lies one of the reasons that I dig remixes :)
