Franskild is the Danish duo of Love Ojensa and Tim Söderström. They debuted their Majestic Mountains EP on Sweat It Out! Records earlier this year and subsequently got tapped for remix duties on "Burning Bright" by Kim Ann Foxman and Maya Jane Coles.
The queen of the underground (MJC) returned the favor by playing their original "Shards" during a set at the famed Ushaia. That's when I discovered Franskild, and since then, my life has forever changed. On this fresh remix, Franksild takes on UK indie songstress VV Brown's powerful 90s era vocals and infuses them with some majestic beats and an ambient soundscape. While there are hints of melancholy in the atmosphere, Brown's deep and booming voice helps keep the song light, accompanied by a catchy hand-clap and soft xylophone beats.
