I'm really excited about today. It could be because the sun is finally peeking out behind its grumpy winter shadow, or because I have the whole day off, or because I actually did yoga this morning (okay, six minutes is a start), or because my fridge (via the great mother earth) presented me the tastiest grapefruit on the planet (to which I was very grateful)... or possibly because my senses have been bombarded with amazing music all morning.
Topping the list is Voyeur. The UK duo became a favorite of mine ever since their Blame It On the Youth EP released on Kerri Chandler's sub-label MadTech back in 2012 (side note: I can't believe I've been writing for Indie Shuffle that long). They've since matured, now finding their fourth release on mother label Mad House.
The three-track Tonight EP is all-around stellar, but lucky for me, "Philae & Rosetta" was the first to premiere — I had this track in the "draft" folder the moment I heard it! Jazzy, chill, classic house — it feels organic, it feels like love.
