Why do we like this?

Polyvinyl Records just put this great single by Vivian Girls up for free download, and in doing so brought to my attention that we'd never featured it on Indie Shuffle. So, here's some female-vocalist driven surf pop / punk for your eardrums.

"I Heard You Say" is the second track on the band's 2011 album Share The Joy, which was released after Ali Koehler's departure for Best Coast. It's a pretty simple tune that could just as easily have been recorded in the 1970s. And I guess that's wherein lies the charm...
