Why do we like this?
With possibly the most apt title for a song ever, French electronic producer Vitalic just released the banger of the month, "No More Sleep." This is all in preparation for another album drop entitled Rave Age, coming to life October 22.
The title "No More Sleep" clearly does not stray from the rugged tone of the track. It's as if Vitalic was able to record the ferocity of a pill-charged weekend in musical form. Straight away he takes off with a few bars of percussion and jumps right into the relentless melody. Pillars of super charged synths come in take off after an ominous character spouts "no sleep." This is a banger not for all, but will make for an epic dance party in the right setting and company, no question about it.
A meander from the tone of his last album, it will be interesting to see if this is representative of the project as a whole or one facet of a larger concept. Considering it's entitled Rave Age, I'm guessing the former.
