Why do we like this?
So, you want to record an album, do ya? How about hopping on bicycles and touring the North Carolina countryside for inspiration? Such was the approach taken by Saman Khoujinian and Gabriel Anderson recording their latest album, RGB.
Made up of 10 tracks, RGB is available (name-your-own-price) over on Bandcamp. The songs themselves range from dreamy bossanova folk to a more upbeat folk-rock, a sound that reminds me somewhat of Local Natives. But let's not pigeonhole a band -- these guys throw the occasional curve ball. For example, their versatility shines through with an Italian approach to the third song "Quiet Friends."
In general, RGB holds up quite well throughout. I'd highly recommend giving it a full listen-through.
