Why do we like this?
I came across some soft French rap from Videoclub, and every time "Roi" pops back up on my rotation, it is met with fondness and admiration.
Videoclub is a French duo formed in 2018 by Adèle Castillon and Matthieu Reynaud. Adèle is a famous YouTuber, and Matthieu is the son of jazz guitarist Régis Reynaud. "Roi" was their second single, garnering millions of streams after the over one-hundred million streams of their first release, "Amour Plastique."
They unfortunately disbanded in 2021 when their relationship ended, but they have left their beautiful mark on the world in the form of their discography.
