The Chicago hip-hop scene is almost on par with New York for the amount of young, new talent it's producing, and Vic Mensa is the next in line to take his shot at the big time. Mensa started out with hip-hop collective Kids These Days, who announced their break-up earlier this year after almost five years together. Since then Mensa has been building his profile, appearing on Chance The Rapper's Acid Rap album and releasing well received solo tracks "DID IT B4" and "Orange Soda."
Relocating to Los Angeles to work on his new project INNANETAPE, Mensa recorded the breezy "Hollywood LA." Produced by Cam of J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, with gorgeous harmonies from soul singer Lili K, "Hollywood LA" is a beautiful ode to the City of Angels, conjuring images of attractive beauties and sticky green, and when the saxophone kicks in, things reach a whole other level.
