Why do we like this?

Vic Mensa's continued rise towards stardom was given a big boost last year when the Chicago native dropped the irresistible dance-rap banger "Down On My Luck." 

Over the weekend, former The Cool Kids member Chuck Inglish released his take on the track, turning "Down On My Luck" into a heavily synth-fueled mash of jazzy goodness. 

The track is almost unrecognizable, with Mensa's trademark flow seemingly the only thing remaining from the original. Inglish wrote "play this with the top down" on his SoundCloud, and I agree.
