Why do we like this?

I'm a big fan of the stylish flow of Chicago MC Vic Mensa, who takes a slightly different approach with latest single "Down On My Luck." While his freewheeling raps are as catchy as ever, it's the production that's sparked my interest, with Mensa enlisting Stefan Ponce for a London club feel.

As Pigeons & Planes pointed out, Mensa wrote the track while on tour with Disclosure earlier this year, and it's obvious the UK duo have had an influence on him. Not only is "Down On My Luck" a club banger, it shows Mensa's versatility as an artist, and will hopefully make a splash when released as an official single this July.
