Vendredi is Pierre-Elie Robert and Charles Valentin, and they are from Paris. The duo is new to me, fairly new to The Shuffle, and I'm certainly glad to have stumbled on "Collages."
Minimal, exotic, a tasty blend of house and techno, "Collages" will take you to a place. It's a place similar place to this RYI track we recently posted, and this Titeknots track that I just love, but Vendredi carves out an entirely new valley of feels -- one with climbing jasmine blossoms and bonsai trees dotting a misty mountain side, in a distant land that echoes of super chill house music. Like, the birds there would probably mimic the sound of each soft vocal stab, crunchy high hats, and Asiatic sounding strings. What a world, huh?
